Privacy Notice

At Inicio Group, we take your privacy seriously. This notice explains what information we may collect when you use our website, contact us, make a referral or apply for a role, and how we use and protect it.

Inicio Group Ltd is responsible for this website and the personal information collected through it. Where your enquiry or referral relates to a service operated by another company within Inicio Group, we may pass it to the relevant company so that the appropriate team can respond.

For any questions about your information, please email data@inicio-group.co.uk.

Information we may collect

We may collect information you provide when you contact us, complete a form, make a referral or apply for a role. This may include your name, contact details, organisation, employment information and anything you include within your message or application.

Where a referral is made, we may also receive information about a child, young person or family from a local authority, professional or another person acting on their behalf.

Our website may collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit. More information about this is available through our cookie settings.

How we use your information

We may use your information to:

  • respond to enquiries;
  • consider and manage referrals;
  • communicate with local authorities, commissioners and professionals;
  • process job applications;
  • operate and improve our website;
  • manage complaints or concerns;
  • meet our legal, regulatory and safeguarding responsibilities; and
  • protect the rights and safety of children, young people, families, staff and others.

We only use personal information where we have a lawful reason to do so. This may be because it is necessary to respond to your request, take steps before entering into an agreement, meet a legal obligation, protect someone from harm, support our legitimate business interests or because you have given consent.

Where we receive sensitive information, including health, safeguarding or criminal-record information, we will only use it where this is necessary and permitted by law.

Who we may share information with

We may share relevant information with the appropriate Inicio Group company or team, local authorities, commissioners, health and social care professionals, safeguarding partners, regulators and other organisations where this is necessary.

We may also use trusted companies that provide services such as website hosting, IT systems, communications and recruitment platforms. They must protect the information they process on our behalf and only use it for the agreed purpose.

We will not sell your personal information.

Where information is processed outside the UK, we will make sure that appropriate legal protections are in place.

How long we keep information

We only keep information for as long as it is needed.

General website enquiries and correspondence will normally be kept for up to 18 months. Applications from unsuccessful candidates will normally be kept for six months after the recruitment decision.

Referral information will be kept for as long as needed to consider and respond to the referral. Where a service begins, relevant information will form part of the appropriate service record and will be retained in accordance with the legal and regulatory requirements that apply.

Information may be kept for longer where it relates to a safeguarding concern, complaint, investigation, regulatory enquiry, insurance matter, data protection request or actual or anticipated legal claim.

When information is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

How we protect information

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Access is limited to people who need the information for their role. We also require organisations processing information on our behalf to protect it appropriately.

Our website uses essential cookies to operate correctly. Other cookies, such as analytics or performance cookies, will only be used where you have agreed to them.

You can accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies through the cookie settings on our website.
